1) I do not have a website with Cumulus9. How do I get one?

Once you have decided which network to build your site on, you have to fill in the online form. Each network portal has a form where you can "sign up" for a new website. If you need help finding the network portals and site sign up pages, please read the choose a network page first.

If you already have one site, and want a second site which uses the SAME registered Email account, please click here.

Filling in the form

This very simple form has 5 steps:

Enter your "First Name", your "Last Name" and your "Organization".
When your site is created the main header graphic of your website will display the first name and last name that you enter here, until you change the "Site Title" in Profile and Preferences later.

This will become the web address of your website... i.e. the address that you will tell people who want to visit your site.
Again, this can be changed later in Profile and Preferences.

We recommend you enter something very easy to remember, like your full name or your organization's name.

It is vital that you enter a REAL email address that you are already using regularly. If you enter a fake email address then you will never be able to receive important information, like your password if you forget it!

Enter a password that you will remember!! It has to be AT LEAST 6 characters long. If you have become a registered user of another site on this network --- you will need to enter the same password that you used when you registered at the other site.

If you keep receiving an ERROR message at this step when you submit the form - don't worry!! - just contact customerservice@cumulus9.com

This is a security measure that we use to stop hackers writing programs to sporn thousands of sites, which would soon clog up our networks.

Make absolutely sure that you type in the string exactly as it appears in the graphic - with no spaces etc.

Beware, this string will change every time the page is reloaded

The "Terms of Use" lay out the legal details that we have to insist on as a business. Please read through the terms carefully, then check the "Agree" box.

Finally hit the "Send" button.

If there are any problems with the information you have provided, you will get an error message asking you to re-enter the particular piece of information. Make sure you re-enter the "Verification String", because it will keep changing every time this page loads.

There are some reasons why you might keep getting an Error with this form, even though your information may seem correct. For example, your Email address is already associated with an existing site on the network. Don't worry about this - Cumulus9 will be able to assist: Please send us an email, with the description of your problem to customerservice@cumulus9.com.

2) I already have a website with Cumulus9, how do I get a SECOND site?

If you want a second website with Cumulus9, which uses the same Email address and password to Sign In, please follow these steps:

1) Sign In to the Toolbox of your existing website.

2) Click the "Switch Sites" link:

3) Click the "Create a new site" link:

4) Fill in the form to create your new site.

Your new site will start with a free trial. You will need to use the "Switch Sites" link - to move from the Toolbox of one site, into the Toolbox of the other site.
